Where we're headed
WrapCap is currently being funded under the Guns and Gangs umbrella of Federal Public Safety and Emergency Services. The goal is to move the program under National Crime Prevention Services. This allows WRAPCAP to think outside of the box.
Our goal is to get more creative! We intend to seek and provide training for frontline personnel that meets their needs, secure connections that we may not have been able to in the past, address province specific needs, and finally encourage organizations to ask what they need and how they need it.

Mission
A coordinated and timely professional development system for frontline human service personnel who provide direct support, intervention services, and advocacy for newcomer youth and their families.
Vision
Provide coaching, connections, and support on casefile management to frontline human service personnel who work with newcomer populations by providing wraparound services to the service provider, recognizing their strengths and supporting their challenges through coordination and advocacy efforts.

WrapCap Project was a 5-year initiative led by the Centre For Newcomers to develop sector capacity in the use of the wraparound service delivery model which aimed to support the standardization and coordination of newcomer youth settlement services. The project was funded by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada from May 2020 to March 2025. WrapCap worked with settlement and non-settlement agencies across IRCC's PNT Region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories).
